Growing
Sunday School
- Our 2-4 year olds are being taught the "ABC's" of the Bible. Starting in the creation account of Genesis one, and supplemented with fun songs and crafts, they are exploring the basics of the Biblical narrative.
- The primaries are learning all about the life and ministry of Moses. These creative and interactive lessons will not only inform your child but challenge them to Biblical obedience and maturity.
- Our junior high & highschool students are studying the book of Revelation. Seeking to foster spiritual wisdom in our youth, the students are being taught how the certainty of these future prophecies affect the believer today.
- The adult Sunday School class is finishing its series on 1&2 Thesselonians. With Biblicaly based discussion and examination of Scriptures, they are addressing how believers are to "stay on course" in their spiritual walk with Christ.
Preaching
- Our Sunday morning sermons have followed the exciting life of Peter through the gospels and the book of Acts. We found that Peter had the "every-man" qualities that both encourage us in our weaknesses and challenge us to the spiritual heights God intended us to pursue. Now we are focusing on the two epistles he wrote shortly before his death. Still in First Peter, God is teaching us that godly purity and holy devotion comes only through the life supplied, sustained, and demonstrated by the person of Jesus Christ.
- In our Sunday evening services we are carefully studying the doctrines presented in the book of Romans. Topics addressing the nature of man, sin, salvation, election, Israel & the church, spiritual development, and much more are all presented in this great book with the over-arching theme of how they all relate to the wonderful righteousness of God.
- Children's Church meets during the Sunday AM service. Currently, they are preparing for their Christmas presentation, but regular lessons will resume in the new year.
Bible Studies
- Wednesday Evenings provide us with the opportunity to sit down to an informal study of God's Word. During this time of mid-week encouragement we are currently discussing the Fruit of the Spirit as found in Galatians 5:22-23. What does the rest of the Bible have to teach us about the exceptional qualities of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. And how might we exhibit these qualities in our lives?
- Unfortunately, our Ladies' Bible Study has just concluded, but they are looking at starting a new one sometime after the holiday season. So check back for more details early next year!
- One-on-one and Small Group Bible studies are always available for the serious student of God's Word. In fact, various studies are consistently being conducted by different groups within our body. If this interests you, contact pastor Ryan and we'll plug you into an existing Bible study or get one started that meets your interests.
